MetaTrader 5 is a program published by a software company and connected to a broker. Which of the two answers a question depends on whether the thing being asked about arrives with the program or is recorded on the account.

Which half of the screen a question belongs to
- Anything about how the program looks and responds is answered by the company that publishes it.
- Anything that appears inside the program as instruments, servers or account settings is answered by the broker.
- The same screen therefore carries two kinds of question, and they go to different places.
- A question sent to the wrong side is not refused — it is answered correctly about something else.
- The quickest test is whether the answer would still hold with a different broker behind the same program.
